It amazes me that adults cannot change tires. I know I have a knack for looking at things and figuring how to get it to work somewhat but jeebus. Lefty loosely, lift, pull, push, righty tighty, lower, righty tighty. How freaking hard is it and why can people not look at it and figure it out?!

To be fair, a lot of modern cars (such as my parents’ Allroad) have jack points that require you to solve the fucking Labyrinth to get to.

Google can help in that case. I would say manual but those are appearing less frequently.

I taught my friends how to change windshield wiper blades. They paid anearly$20 premier at auto parts stores to have them put on normally. Also they took their car to a shop to get the front struts put on. I complained and they said it required a special tool I informed them that with the extra price the shop charged they could have replaced the spring and had money left over if they let me spend the half hour and do it.

It’s mostly just that the jack points are very small and oddly-placed, owing to the car’s funky and delicate air suspension. Give me springs any day.
